DESIG-BUILD. Demolition of the existing Palm Beach Renewable Energy Facility No. 1 (PBREF 1), as well as for the design, procurement, construction, start-up and testing, and long-term operation and maintenance services for a new mass-burn waste-to-energy (WTE) facility. It is the intent of the Authority to contract with a single prime contracting entity that is capable of performing all necessary services for this Demolition, Design, Build, Operate and Maintain (DDBOM) Project. The Authority is seeking a full EPC-type structure for this integrated project delivery. Experience in large-scale projects with mass-burn WTE facilities, large power generating facilities, and/or other large heavy industrial facilities will be essential to the qualifications for the DDBOM teams.
