Eastern Wake Microtransit Operations
The Town of Wendell, working with the Towns of Knightdale and Zebulon and Wake County, seeks a qualified firm to provide turnkey microtransit across the partner communities and unincorporated eastern Wake County. The selected provider will design, implement, and operate an on-demand service replacing SmartRide NE, with a rider app, multilingual call-in dispatch, vehicles, customer support, and service performance reporting. The replacement service is planned to begin July 1, 2027, and vendor selection is contingent on continued program funding.
