Personnel & Policy Committee Special Meeting
The committee reviewed a request to add a new paraprofessional position at Wilson Intermediate School to support students with intellectual disabilities, highlighting that 60% of the role's funding would be Medicaid reimbursable. A broader discussion was held regarding the district's overall staffing levels for paraprofessionals and the necessity for continued re-evaluation of case management and resource allocation strategies. The committee voted to approve the new position, moving the item to the regular board meeting. It was also noted that a previously approved position for a one-on-one aide remains vacant after the selected candidate accepted an offer elsewhere.
