Brazos County Commissioners Court Public Hearing
The Brazos County Commissioners Court conducted a public hearing regarding the Local Provider Participation Fund (LPPF) under the Texas Health and Safety Code. The discussion focused on establishing a mandatory LPPF payment rate of 6% for the fiscal year 2027, consistent with the rate applied in the previous year. It was explained that these funds are revenue-neutral for the county and serve as a mechanism to allow private hospitals to access federal funding, which supports the care of uninsured and underinsured patients in the community.
